The Breitling Emergency Model

Another highly specialised and innovative model produced by Breitling is the Breitling Emergency. It is so exclusive that customers who want to purchase this model must either hold a pilots license or if they do not have this license then they are required to sign an agreement to absorb the costs of the rescue should they activate the distress beacon featured in this watch.

The distress beacon is a radio transmitter used for civil aviation. There is also a version available for military users that operates on a specific military frequency. The signal itself has a range of 90 nautical miles and can be located by search aircraft at a height of 20,000 feet. At present there are no plans to modify the signal distance to enable the beacon to be picked up by satellite.

The Breitling Emergency has been proved to save lives.
